21 other Venerables joined Craig for a round of golf, playing for the Soanes Trophy to commemorate his year as the Venerables Captain.

The weather was glorious, and the golf was keenly contested in the right spirit as is the usual Venerables standard.

The event was capped off with one of Mrs A’s sumptuous buffets that was devoured with great gusto by the 24 people sitting down for our lunch.

Craig presented the various prizes (see below) on offer for the round of golf and then went on to announce the apologies received from those Venerables that were unable to attend.

He also gave thanks to Mrs A on behalf of the venerables for the lovely food, Dave Watts for organising the event, Richard Gardner for organising the catering and his cash collection skills, Andrew Wyatt for his David Bailey impression with the camera and last but not least Dave Sephton for making sense of it all and publishing it on the website.
